- There are 63 islands including uninhabited islands with
fine view about 46km from Gunsan by boat. One of the islands,
Seonyudo, has been well-known as the eight famous spots
and the center of Gogunsan Islands. It is so beautiful that
it has been said that Taoist hermits with supernatural powers
had played there, where a 2,300,000 pyong wide international
marine park is on progress now. It is linked to the islands
such as Munyeodo, Jangjado, Daejangdo by beautiful bridges,
so you can see the islands and the natives coming and going
by bike or on foot. You can also appreciate the noted stones
and the potted plants owned by a private person in Daejangdo.
In addition, there are so many tourist attractions such
as Mangjubong Peak and Myeongsasimni, the white sand beach
as long as 4km, in Seonyudo Island, the lion-shaped rock
and the old lady-shaped rock of Jangjado Island, Dongnimmun
Rock of Bangchukdo Island, the fantastic rocks and stones
of Myeongdo Island and Whengyeongdo Island, and the seagulls
of Maldo Island.
A jewel of Western Sea, Seonyudo Island, is the heart of
Gogunsan Islands and a marine park gifted by nature, where
you can experience scenic cruise boats, and its cycling
tour route and the tracking route to Mangjubong Peak are
popular with tourists. The northern side is linked to the
south by toombolo, and a seaside dune is over there, the
western side of which is Seonyudo Beach.
Seonyudo Island has various tourist attractions such as
beach, scenic beauty, folk-customs, and history as stated
above, and Gogunsan Islands are well-known to sea fishing
lovers' society. It is a blue belt where high-grade fishes
such as banjofish, flatfish, seabases, and wicker lids live,
and it is said that what they feel while fishing rod and
line are weighed down with fish deserves permanent remembrance

Mangju Waterfall, the wide geese coming down to sandy plain,
Samdoguibeom, 12 peaks of Mt. Musan, sunset, Seonyu Bridge,
Oryongmyo, Jangja Bridge, Jangja-do Botanical Stone Garden,
Old Lady-Shaped Rock of Jangjado Island, Dongnimmun Rock.
